Description

The Department of Neurology at the St. Louis University School of Medicine seeks an adult epileptologist to join a rapidly growing, newly developed Epilepsy Division. This position seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinical-educator track.  A successful applicant will be motivated to continue learning and applying new techniques to optimize the care of refractory epilepsy patients in our population.

Our clinical practice is located in SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO, where clinicians rotate between separate inpatient and outpatient services.  The inpatient rotation provides coverage for our NAEC-accredited Level 4 Epilepsy Center, along with ICU monitoring and routine EEG interpretation.  The outpatient rotation covers the epilepsy clinic, with special focus on patients with intractable epilepsy.  Both inpatient and outpatient services benefit from the support of mid-level providers.

Applicant will join current experienced faculty members and be a part of a collegial epilepsy team that emphasizes patient care and community involvement
