No Overnight Call | 9-Fellow Program | 5 Weeks PTO
Springfield, Illinois has a full-time Academic General Cardiology opening inside a well-established department with nine fellows and subspecialty depth in EP, interventional cardiology, and advanced imaging. The role offers a clean balance of outpatient clinic, inpatient consults, and dedicated teaching time with no overnight call and a schedule built for the long haul.
Practice Opportunity:
- Academic cardiology program with nine fellows and subspecialty faculty in electrophysiology, interventional cardiology, and advanced imaging

Schedule & Call:
- Structured workweek with predictable clinical responsibilities
- Weekend rounding only during inpatient service weeks
- No overnight call, with fellows managing after-hours coverage

Teaching & Academic Focus:
- Active teaching role with cardiology fellows, residents, and medical students
- Participation in weekly conferences, Grand Rounds, and educational case reviews
- Opportunity for TEE training and skill development

Compensation & Benefits:
- Generous base salary with additional earning potential
- $10,000 combined sign-on and relocation allowance

Who You Are:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology
- Eligible for medical licensure in Illinois
- Interest in academic medicine, education, and collaborative care
- TEE experience preferred but not required
